You are probably aware that students from Sandon School 6th Form (Hospitality Pathways) run a Coffee Shop in Grantham. During this academic year, the Tasty Treats Coffee Shop have updated their menu so they were able to offer something new to their customers.
The drinks menu has been expanded and now offers hot chocolate as well as tea, coffee and juice. As for the food menu, they now offer Ham, Cheese, Onion and Tomato Paninis (the customer chooses their preferred fillings) in addition to their delicious variety of cakes and savouries.
The Hospitality students are now also offering their services back in school. They sell Egg & Bacon baps to staff at break times.
Tasty Treats now also take private cake orders from customers!
The newly improved menu at coffee shop has been so popular with regular and new customers. The students have learned how to make Paninis and hot chocolate on the premises. The service that Hospitality students provide has been outstanding, with lots of feedback from customers saying how professional they all are.
Here are some examples of customer feedback:
“Cheese and tomato paninis made a lovely treat! We were too late for breakfast at home!! Lovely service and friendly staff, well done!” Ann & Stan Bellaby
“I would like to say the pupils who do the coffee shop, they do an amazing job. So polite. It’s so hard for these pupils. When I first went there they were nervous but have really come out of their shells. Well they are an amazing bunch and a credit to Sandon and GANF. Keep it up! Will always support these amazing people and the food is gorgeous all made by their own hands. Well done to the teachers as well” Paul Cartwright
“WOW! Just amazing! Thank you so much for your hospitality and fantastic tea and cakes! We will definitely be coming back! Keep up the good work! The service was outstanding! Better than that of some restaurants! “Would you mind if I just borrow this milk jug?” – So polite! Thank you!”
