The last two weeks of term 2 saw a jam packed fortnight of festivities for our GANF pupils.
The fun began on 7th December at St Anne’s Church Grantham, when GANF Lower School performed their Christmas show. The event was very well attended by parents, carers and pupil families, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Hospitality pupils served drinks and biscuits and Horticulture sold their home-made wreaths. Head Boy, Lucas Wilson, hosted the proceedings and each class took turns with their performances.
On December 12th Oak, Ash, Horticulture, Hospitality, Twickenham, Headingley, Wembley, Oval, Silverstone, Ascot, Henley, St Andrews, Lansdowne, Wimbledon and Cadwell were taken to the Guildhall to see the Pantomime, Peter Pan. As always our pupils showed exceptional behaviour and represented the school in a positive manner, oh yes they did!
December 13th saw Upper School attend St Anne’s Church for their Christmas Performance. Again, this was very well attended by families and friends of the GANF pupils. Hospitality served everyone with drinks and biscuits and again, Horticulture sold home-made Christmas wreaths.
This time it was the turn of Head Girl, Chloe Webb, to host proceedings. Chloe also delivered a reading of one of her own poems. Upper School kept the crowd well entertained with their plays, jokes, songs and performances.
December 14th - GANF welcomed Suzanne and Debbie from ‘Singing Hands’ into school. Imps, Trent Bridge, Willow, Cherry, Beech, Pine and Apple had an afternoon of Christmas singing, signing and dressing up. There was some fabulous audience participation from the children, and Ms Gibson wore a Christmas Dinner hat!
On December 15th the whole of GANF took part in Christmas Jumper Day. This was in aid of FOSA. Everyone wore their Christmas jumpers to school and donated £1 to the cause.
December 15th was also Sandon’s Christmas dinner and 19th December was Ambergate’s. The kitchen and dining staff worked so hard to make sure everyone had a delicious dinner and pudding amid a wonderful festive atmosphere.
And finally, on December 18th Sandon School invited the School transport drivers and escorts in to school for afternoon tea. This was prepared by our Hospitality pupils and the Sandon School choir also performed for everyone.
GANF staff would like to wish our pupils and their friends and families a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
We look forward to welcoming you back into school on Wednesday 3rd January 2018!
