rachRachel Page, a former teacher at GANF, took part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon, in Nottingham on Sunday 24th September 2017.

Rachel decided to run in aid of FOSA to help raise much needed funds for the pupils of the schools.

FOSA, Friends of Sandon and Ambergate, are the parent, staff and friend association that raises funds for GANF schools.

She said, “I wanted to raise money for a charity very close to my heart, FOSA”. I was fortunate enough to be a teacher at Sandon School, where I taught Key Stage 4. I hoped to raise as much money as possible!”

Rachel added, “It’s so nice to be able to give something back to a wonderful school that made me the teacher I am today. I am so proud and honoured to have worked there and I miss it very much.”

rach2Rachel ran the half marathon in 2hours, 28mins & 51 sec.

FOSA are so grateful to Rachel, she raised £777 for them and the money will be spend on the pupils extra-curricular activities.
